hear ME now specially trained speech language pathologists are certified as Listening and Spoken Language Specialists (LSLS). We specialize in helping children with hearing loss maximize the benefit they receive from their hearing aids or cochlear implants.
Consultation to School Based Teams
Often, public and private schools have had little direct experience with students who are deaf or hard of hearing. When a school is unfamiliar with hearing loss, hearing aids, cochlear implants and other assistive devices commonly used by these students, it can be difficult to anticipate the students' unique needs and provide appropriate speech services to maximize their learning opportunities through listening.
With the goal of increasing the capacity of each school district to meet the needs of its own students, our LSLS can provide consultation to speech therapists that includes resources, strategies and assessments.
