20 hours/week

hear ME now is a 10 year old nonprofit that works with children and adults with hearing loss.  Our mission is to give these individuals the opportunity to learn to listen and speak as their primary mode of communication, if they choose.

Recent advancements in newborn screening, diagnosis, and hearing technology enable most children with permanent hearing loss to learn to listen and speak and develop at the same level as their hearing peers. Our specialists in speech pathology, audiology and deaf education work with families, early childhood educators and school systems to support their needs.

We are seeking a committed, organized and energetic person to be an integral part of our organization!

Job Responsibilities:

Primary manager of day to day operations:

  • Manage and execute client intake process
  • Administer, maintain and control all financial and accounting records.
  • Process and control Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll
  • Process and maintain personnel files
  • Manage technology equipment
  • Support staff of providers
  • Assist Executive Director and staff in furthering the mission of the organization

Skills/Attributes:

  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Knowledge and experience with software – Word, Excel, WordPress, Access, Adobe and QuickBooks
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
  • Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
  • Ability to work independently

Education/Experience

  • College or specific coursework tied to general principles of accounting.
  • 5 years general office experience.
  • 2-3 years related accounting experience – General Ledger, A/R, A/P, Payroll.
  • Experience working with billing insurance for services a bonus.
